Discussing mental health should be a positive experience and, if done well, can reduce the stigma associated with mental health difficulties. To enable these discussions to happen in a kind and compassionate way, we need a shared understanding of emotional wellbeing and mental health; a common language to ensure we are understood and can plan for appropriate support. This guidance can help us to achieve this for our children and young people and work towards building resilience for the future.
